Just to express my love for all of my dearest friends in Free Republic for your devotion, love, condolences, caring, concern, best wishes, phone numbers, offers of help, love, caring, love, caring!!!!!!
The sudden death of my beloved husband, Maine Rebel, was the biggest shocker of my entire life!
Even though he was just a lurker in here, he would often laugh, cry or pound his fist over the postings of everyone that were concerned with my threads and the threads of my friends in here.
You all are the BEST!!!!!!!!! And when the dust settles and family goes home, I will be in here more then EVER IF that’s possible. Heh!
Please……if you have ANY doubts about being a Christian, make the commitment now. Maine Rebel was not a church goer, but he did a have deep belief in God and Jesus Christ. But I want you to know, as fast as he went, there was no time to make that decision. He went at the snap of the fingers. Like “The thief in the night.”
He is in a much better place, although I pray he isn’t with “75 virgins!” heh
(Maybe I’m being selfish! Oh boy!)
I love you all. Freepers are the BEST in the whole world! And why shouldn’t we be? We are Republicans. We are strong. AND we stick together!

My deepest condolences.......I was unaware of your loss, I'm ashamed to say............but I agree with you that the time to make such a decision is NOW. I ask the good Lord to welcome your husband into His loving arms, and may He bring His peace to you and your family. In Jesus' name, amen.

Seriously, the service yesterday and the words of the Minister laid a peace on me that I couldn't believe. She reminded me of passages in the Bible that I had long forgotten.

Take care of yourself SheLion. You have to know you are in the thoughts and prayers of many here. There is always somebody here 24-7 if you need to talk or vent. And boy! Do I know it! There's always a friend of mine in here at any given hour of the day or night. I love it!
